Abstract:
This bachelor paper deals with the translation of technical and scientific terminology in the science fiction genre. The first part of this paper explores the science fiction genre as a whole and the specific requirements on the translator. Furthermore, it presents the methods that are available for translating terminology and comments on related problems. In the second part, examples of both correct and incorrect translations are given and the data is summarized.
