This thesis deals with the optimization and the application of two extraction methods for
isolation of essential oils in herbal teas. These methods are Dispersive Liquid-Liquid
Microextraction (DLLME) and Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction Based on the
Solidification of Floating Organic Drop (DLLME-SFO).The theoretical part is focused on the
essentials oils, their properties and utilization. The next parts are focused on teas, their
species and technological processing. Finally, chapters about extraction methods, analysis by
gas chromatography and design of experiment are included. In the experimental part, the
optimizations of DLLME and DLLME-SFO methods based on central composite design and the
evaluation by response surface modeling were performed. The optimized procedures were
applied for the extraction of essential oils from herbal tea samples. |
