dc.description.abstract |
This diploma paper deals with the meaning of house and home in the works of Brontë´s sisters. There are three novels chosen for this diploma paper, these are: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. The core of the work is divided into two parts: the first part deals with house and the second with home. The house is analysed from the point of view of outside appearance, position, use and division of the house and also how place influences the story and characters in the novels. Home as an abstract term is described here not only as a particular house but also as any place where characters feel like at home which is very often in untraditional places. |

Diplomová práce pojednává o významu domu a domova v dílech sester Brontëových. Pro tuto práci jsou vybrány tři romány, a to: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights a The Tenant of Wildfell Hall. |
