Tato práce se zabývá problémem výběru partnera afghánských imigrantů ve Velké Británii. Pro přiblížení problému se budu snažit nastínit důvody emigrace z Afghánistánu a pozdější dopad kulturních tradic na jednotlivce a vliv asimilace a integrace do evropského prostředí. Také se budu zabývat genderovými rolemi a rozdílnými požadavky, které jsou kladeny zvlášť na Evropanky a zvlášť na Afghánky. Blíže také rozeberu práva a povinnosti mužů a žen v manželském svazku a problematiku rozvodů. Budu se snažit naznačit myšlenkový posun vnímání partnerství a sňatku před a po jeho uskutečnění. |

This paper deals with the issues surrounding Afghan immigrants selecting a partner in Great Britain. I will outline what motivates emigration from Afghanistan, and what impact cultural traditions have on the individuals. As the individuals integrate into their new European environment I will cover what influences assimilation. I will portray the different gender roles between Afghan men and women to their European neighbours and how their expectations of marriage differ between the two. I will also deal with the issue of divorce and finally, the perception of relationships before and after marriage. |
