In his contribution a comparison of catecholase activity of recently synthesized mono- and binuclear copper(II) complexes towards selected substrates (3,5-DTBC and neurotransmitters) is presented. The Michaelis-Menten kinetics model was applied for such description. Besides a finding of comparable catalytic activity for the copper complexes tested, the measurements have been performed in methanol as well as in phosphate buffer pH 7 where the measurements can be compared with enzyme tyrosinase. |
