Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila na kult Baala a Ištar nejen z pohledu biblického pojetí, ale především v pojetí ugaritských textů. První část práce je věnována komparaci vybraných témat. Mojí snahou je zde nalézt vliv zmíněného kultu na starověký Izrael. Druhá část práce se zabývá ugaritským pojetím zápasu Baala s Mótem se snahou poukázat na možné souvislosti zápasu mezi Hospodinem a Baalem na hoře Karmel. |

In my thesis I have focused on the cult of Baal and Ishtar, not only from the perspective of a biblical conception, but primarily in the concept of ugaritic texts. The first part is devoted to a comparison of selected topics. My effort here is to find the influence of that cult on ancient Israel. The second part deals with the ugaritic concept of a struggle between Baal and Mot with an effort to point out the possible connections with the struggle between the Lord and Baal on Mount Carmel. |
