Buddhistické učení představuje cestu osvobození a rozvinutí duchovního potenciálu. Toto učení nabízí celou řadu praxí a metod, které jsou spojené se smrtí. Nicméně buddhismus jako takový nelze považovat za náboženství smrti. Cílem celé práce je představit praxe a chápání smrti v buddhismu v tradičním i západním prostředí. Porozumění smrti a umírání je představeno třemi skupinami, které působí v České republice a navazují na tři hlavní tradice buddhistického učení. První kapitola rozpracovává témata jako je: smrt v buddhismu, smrt Buddhy Šákjamuniho, obecné pochopení a praxe používané ve všech hlavních směrech, motivy buddhistické přípravy na smrt a také buddhistický přístup k sebevraždě. Druhá kapitola představuje praxe a chápání smrti v théravádovém učení společně se skupinou Buddha Mangala. Ve třetí kapitole je pochopení mahájánového buddhismu a školy Sótó. Čtvrtá kapitola nabízí pohled a praxe vadžrajánového učení a komunity Dzogčhenu. Závěr práce obsahuje sumarizaci výsledků. |

Buddhism represents way of liberation and developing of spiritual potential. Buddhist teachings offers all kind of different practices and methods connected with death. Nevertheless Buddhism itself can't be considered as a religion of death. Aim of whole work is to represent the practices and understanding of death from view of Buddhism in traditional and western environment. Understanding of death and dying is shown from view of a three groups operating in The Czech Republic following three main branches of Buddhist teachings. First chapter deals with themes like: death in Buddhism, death of the Buddha Shakyamuni, general understanding and practices used in all of the three main branches, motives of Buddhist preparation for death and Buddhist approach to suicide. Second chapter presents practices and understanding of death in Theravada teachings together with Buddha Mangala group. In third chapter there is an understanding of Mahayana Buddhism and Soto school. Four chapter introduces view and practices of Vajrayana teachings and a community of Dzogchen. Conclusion of the work contains summary of findings. |
